This important collection includes Aleister Crowleys two most important instructional writings on the design and purpose of the magical diary, John St. John and A Master of the Temple. These were the only two works regarding the magical diary published in Crowleys lifetime. Both were first published in Crowleys immense collection of magical instruction, The Equinox. John St. John chronicles Crowleys moment-by-moment progress during a 13-day magical working. Crowley referred to it as "a perfect model of what a magical record should be." A Master of the Temple is taken from the magical diary of Frater Achad at a time when he was Crowleys most valued and successful student. It provides an invaluable example of a students record, plus direct commentary and instruction added by Crowley. With commentary and introductory material by editor James Wasserman, Aleister Crowley and the Practice of the Magical Diary is the most important and accessible instruction available to students of the occult regarding the practice of keeping a magical diary. This revised edition includes a new introduction by Wasserman, a foreword by noted occult scholar J. Daniel Gunther, revisions throughout the text, a revised reading list for further study, plus Crowleys instructions on banishing from Liber O. Paperback 196 pgs. 22.95

First published in 1913, but reprinted with additional commentary at the end of each chapter in 1952. Crowley wrote ninety one different chapters in this book; some no longer than a word or as long as two pages, they bring to the reader the thought and value of Crowley to interpret on their own. Many chapters are written in a poetic form, though every page is written with Qabalistic significance. Best of all, hidden within the book is the symbolism of freemasonry as well as many other traditions. Paperback, 196 pgs 17.95

The Vision and the Voice (Liber 418) chronicles the mystical journey of Aleister Crowley as he explored the 30 Enochian thyrs originally developed by Dr. John Dee and Edward Kelly in the 16th Century. These visions took place at two times: in 1900 during his stay in Mexico, and later in 1909 in Algeria (along with his magical companion, Victor Neuburg). Of all his works, Crowley considered this book to be second in importance behind The Book of the Law, the text that established his religious and philosophical system of Thelema in 1904. The Vision and the Voice is the source of many of the central spiritual doctrines of Thelema, especially in the visions of Babalon and her consort Chaos (the "All-Father"), as well as an account of how an individual ego might cross the Abyss, thereby assuming the title of "Master of the Temple" and taking a place in the City of the Pyramids under the Night of Pan. This book is a 452 page trade paperback.28.95
